‘Oban B’ is a deepwater, harsh environment semi-submersible drilling vessel capable of drilling in up to 10,000ft of water. The rig’s ability to operate in harsh environments give it the multi-regional flexibility to operate globally, in contrast to its peers.
Specification
The SeaDragon Offshore – ’01 OBAN B’ project involved the delivery of Frenstar high performance valves for the Full Dynamically Positioned (DP-3) Semi-Submersible drilling unit. These were delivered over packages A and B with a 20 week lead time respectively.
Outcome
The client was satisfied with Frenstar’s performance in delivering these large valve packages on time, within a 20 week lead time.
