Since 1999, the Hæwene Brim Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) installation has been operational at the Pierce field in the UK sector of the North Sea for client Shell UK Exploration & Production.
Specification
Bluewater required replacements as existing valves were leaking. The Senior Mechanical Engineer for the FPSO recommended Frenstar valves to the EPC contractor as these were in-line elsewhere on the vessel and the engineer was happy with their performance and high quality. We supplied two packages of rubber lined lugged butterfly valves with 3 layer epoxy coating system as per Bluewater specification for the forward engine room fuel filter skid isolation valves on the FPSO.
Outcome
Bluewater were pleased with Frenstar’s delivery, response times and documentation quality performance in the supply of these butterfly valve packages.
